Laser Hair Removal

Hair Reduction

Diode Laser with SHR Technology

How it works:

Diode laser hair removal, combined with SHR (Super Hair Removal) technology, is a highly effective and non-invasive treatment designed to significantly reduce unwanted hair over time. It uses a concentrated beam of light that specifically targets the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle. When the light is absorbed, it converts into heat, which helps to weaken and eventually disable the follicle, inhibiting future hair growth.

SHR is an advanced method that makes diode laser hair removal faster, gentler, and more comfortable compared to traditional systems. It uses multiple low-energy pulses at a very high frequency, which gradually heat the hair follicle and the surrounding tissue to a temperature that inhibits hair growth. Because the energy is delivered gradually, the treatment feels more comfortable and is suitable for a wider range of skin types.

How many sessions are needed?

Laser hair reduction is most effective during the active growth phase (anagen phase) of the hair cycle. Since not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, multiple treatment sessions are necessary to achieve optimal and long-lasting results.

The number of sessions also depends on your individual hair and skin type, as well as the area being treated. During your personalized consultation, we will evaluate your skin tone, hair density, and growth patterns to recommend the optimal number of treatments for best results.

What type of hair is treatable?

While diode laser hair removal is most effective on individuals with lighter skin tones and darker hair, the addition of SHR technology allows for safer and more effective treatment across a wider range of skin tones and hair types.

Diode laser targets melanin, the pigment in hair. Darker hair absorbs more laser energy, making the treatment more effective. A higher contrast between hair and skin tone also improves targeting precision.

As a result, diode laser works best on black, dark brown, brown, and dark blonde hair. Very light blonde, red, grey, or white hairs contain minimal melanin, which makes them more challenging to treat. However, in some cases, underlying pigment below the skin surface may still respond to treatment; this is something we carefully assess during your consultation.

Is it permanent?

Diode laser with SHR technology IPL provides significant hair reduction and leaves your skin feeling noticeably smoother. However, because hair grows in cycles, it’s not always possible to target every hair during the active growth phase (anagen phase) in each session. As a result, some hair may gradually regrow over time. If this happens, it’s typically just a few hairs and they are much finer and lighter.

If you experience regrowth and wish to address it, we can perform occasional touch-up sessions to maintain your smooth results.
